Choosing the right size is the single most important step in a successful fireplace sale. An oversized stove is run at low air settings, sooting the glass and chimney; an undersized one never keeps up on cold days.
Start with the heating area
Every CREPUS model lists a heating area range, for example 80–100 m². Use the lower value for older, poorly insulated houses and the upper value for modern, well-insulated homes.
Consider the layout
Open-plan spaces distribute heat well. Separate rooms need convection — inset fireplaces from our Lares collection or pellet stoves with fans move warm air further.
Check the chimney
Match the stove’s flue outlet (150–200 mm on our wood models) to the existing chimney and verify the draft. Local regulations and a qualified installer always have the final word.
