About the LA 3 inset wood burning stove
The LA 3 is the most compact insert we make: 695 mm wide, 605 mm high and 440 mm deep. Despite that size, the 150 kg body is rated for about 100–150 m², the widest working range in the Lares line, thanks to convection air that moves warmth around the house. The flue outlet is Ø 200 mm. Primary and secondary air controls sit within easy reach at the front.
Its low height means it fits under existing lintels where the taller LA 2 would need building work. For dealers, that makes it the safest insert to recommend when the customer has not yet measured the opening. Pair the LA 3 inset wood burning stove with a made-to-measure frame or cladding for a finished look. See how it compares to its bigger sibling, the LA 4, for larger projects.
The Lares guarded every Roman household. Our inset fireplaces install into masonry or cladding for a clean, built-in look with powerful convection heat.
The LA 3 is part of our Lares collection, where you can compare every size and finish side by side.
LA 3 inset wood burning stove – frequently asked questions
How large an area can the LA 3 heat?
The LA 3 is rated for about 100–150 m². The real figure depends on insulation, ceiling height, room layout and local climate, so a well-insulated home may need less and an old stone house more. Send us the floor plan and we will help you confirm the right model.
What flue diameter does the LA 3 need?
The LA 3 has a Ø 200 mm flue outlet. Before installation, a qualified installer or chimney sweep should check the chimney’s condition, height and draft, and confirm clearances against local building rules. Test reports and declarations for relevant standards (e.g. EN 13240, EN 13229) are available on request.
Can the LA 3 be customised under our own brand?
Yes. We offer OEM and private-label options including your logo, RAL colour, door, handle and leg designs, log store or oven modules where the body allows, custom packaging and multilingual manuals. Tell us your target market and we will propose the changes that make sense for the LA 3.
What is the MOQ, sample policy and lead time for the LA 3?
We keep trial MOQs low and the LA 3 can be mixed with other models in one container. Samples ship by sea or rail, with the cost credited against your first container. Standard models usually leave the factory 30–45 days after deposit, after 100 % pre-shipment inspection with photo reports.
Which test documents are available for the LA 3?
Test reports and declarations for relevant standards, such as EN 13240 for freestanding stoves or EN 13229 for inset appliances, are available on request for qualified models. Importers should check the rules of their market, for example the EU Ecodesign regulation. Tell us where you sell the LA 3 and we will confirm which documents apply.
