About the JA 2 double sided wood burning stove
With a footprint of 700 × 650 × 600 mm, the JA 2 is noticeably narrower than the JA 1 yet slightly heavier at 195 kg. That extra mass and depth give it a wide working range of about 100–150 m², making it the more flexible pick when a customer is unsure how much heat each room really needs. It vents through a Ø 200 mm flue.
Its taller window places the flames closer to eye level, which helps when the stove divides a kitchen from a lounge or sits in a hotel corridor. Retailers who already stock single-sided models can add the JA 2 double sided wood burning stove as a premium step up without needing a wide wall opening. Our guide to planning a double sided fireplace between two rooms helps your sales team answer installation questions.
Named after the two-faced Roman god of beginnings, Janus fireplaces open the fire to two rooms at once — a striking centrepiece for open-plan homes, lounges and hotel lobbies.
The JA 2 is part of our Janus collection, where you can compare every size and finish side by side.
JA 2 double sided wood burning stove – frequently asked questions
How large an area can the JA 2 heat?
The JA 2 is rated for about 100–150 m². The real figure depends on insulation, ceiling height, room layout and local climate, so a well-insulated home may need less and an old stone house more. Send us the floor plan and we will help you confirm the right model.
What flue diameter does the JA 2 need?
The JA 2 has a Ø 200 mm flue outlet. Before installation, a qualified installer or chimney sweep should check the chimney’s condition, height and draft, and confirm clearances against local building rules. Test reports and declarations for relevant standards (e.g. EN 13240, EN 13229) are available on request.
Can the JA 2 be customised under our own brand?
Yes. We offer OEM and private-label options including your logo, RAL colour, door, handle and leg designs, log store or oven modules where the body allows, custom packaging and multilingual manuals. Tell us your target market and we will propose the changes that make sense for the JA 2.
What is the MOQ, sample policy and lead time for the JA 2?
We keep trial MOQs low and the JA 2 can be mixed with other models in one container. Samples ship by sea or rail, with the cost credited against your first container. Standard models usually leave the factory 30–45 days after deposit, after 100 % pre-shipment inspection with photo reports.
Which test documents are available for the JA 2?
Test reports and declarations for relevant standards, such as EN 13240 for freestanding stoves or EN 13229 for inset appliances, are available on request for qualified models. Importers should check the rules of their market, for example the EU Ecodesign regulation. Tell us where you sell the JA 2 and we will confirm which documents apply.
